This is my first stranger to kickstart this project. I am very happy to have succeeded in capturing a beautiful, sweet model from Indonesia for my first of the 100 strangers.
I was at the backstage of a fashion show in front of Ngee Ann City shopping centre. They had an event going on promoting 'Visit Indonesia 2008'
Meet Triya, a 24 year old model hailed from Bandung, Indonesia. She was one of the models showing off some haute couture clothes of young budding Indonesian designers.
I saw her sitting backstage waiting for her turn to go on stage, i just had to capture her portrait. And willingly enough she posed in front of my camera.
What she liked about her job is that..."I can wear nice clothes and the money that I get from modeling is good. I have been doing this for quite a few years now mainly in Jakarta and Bandung"
Me: "Why don't you do modeling internationally?"
Triya: "Well...I'm not tall enough. Ok I have to go now..it's my turn. See ya"

When I was in Kuala Terengganu last week for work, I stayed at Terengganu Equestrian Resort (TER). That was the first time I was there. TER is a location where the Sultan or other rich and famous have the past time playing with their horses.

Unlike other places this place was rather quiet with less people staying there from what I observed but the surrounding area is quite serene and relaxing.

When I was there it reminded me of this song by Rio Febrian - TERINDAH

This morning when i was walking to the road side stall to buy nasi lemak for my breakfast I saw the headline on The Star stating "SHOCK" Anwar Ibrahim has to fight off sodomy allegations again.
In my mind I was thinking don't our Malaysian politicians have other better things to do...shouldn't they be working very hard to improve the quality of life of us Malaysians!!!!! Come on guys this is such an embarrassment. Now apparently there was this boy named Saiful Bukhari Azlan who made a report stating that he was sodomised on Thursday, lodged the report at 5.45pm yesterday and has been warded in a hospital in Kuala Lumpur. Who is this coffee boy??? “Saya Mohd Saiful Bukhari b Azlan ingin melaporkan bahawa saya telah diliwat oleh majikan saya. Perkara ini berlaku tanpa kerelaan saya. Kejadian terakhir berlaku 26/6/08 di Unit 1151, Kondominium Desa Damansara, Jln Setia Kasih, KL. Oleh itu, tujuan laporan ini dibuat untuk mendapat pembelaan dan keadilan keatas diri saya. Sorry guys, for the past few days my internet connection at home had been out of order. How much it has affected my life, where I cannot browse my favourite blogs and websites and had make my life so miserable!
I have acquired a new hobby these days in photography. Last Sunday I had the chance to to take some photos in Bukit Bintang. And last Sunday too there was an event where TM (Telekom Malaysia) had launch their HYPP.TV where you can watch the Euro 2008 live match games over their portal.
The launch was held at Bukit Bintang and I had the chance to snap some photos of the event. The campaign that they launched was called DECLARE YOUR LOYALTY in conjunction with the EURO 2008 football event.

Malam ini is the finale of AKADEMI FANTASIA MUSIM 6. There are 5 students in the running untuk di nobatkan sebagai juara malam ini - rnacangan akan bermula pada pukul 9 malam nanti di ASTRO RIA (channel 104).
Antara 5 pelajar yang berada di peringkat akhir malam ini adalah Stacy, Toi, Nadia, Nubhan, Riz. But for me this sesaon's final macam tak semeriah macam finals dalam musim-musim yang terdahulu. Dulu at least I tertunggu-tunggu nak tengok konsert akhir, but not this season macam tidak ada rasa apa-apa excitement langsung.

Rianti Cartwright sebagai Aisha, juga seorang pelajar berketurunan Turki Jerman, terus menghantui Fahri dengan kecantikan matanya. Bermula dari satu insiden di dalam keretapi di mana Fahri telah menyelamatkan Aisah, terus membibitkan satu perasaan di antara mereka.

She has a nice voice but I think she lacks the X-FACTOR...no uniqueness in her as compared to Fantasia or some other black singers.

SUFIAH YUSOF / SHILPA LEE?

The international limelight focused on Sufiah Yusof aka Shilpa Lee brought her into the attention of Malaysia. Malaysia’s newspaper, Bernama, reported on Tuesday, April 1, 2008 that the Malaysian government and Malaysian Missionary Foundation wish to contact Ms Yusof or meet her to help her.

Zahid Hamidi, the minister in the Prime Minister’s Department, said that they are interested to assist Ms Yusof to return to the right path through the “Save Sufiah Program.” The program is headed by the Deputy Minister, Datuk Dr Mashitah Ibrahim, in the Prime Minister’s Department. They will suggest strategies to help Sufiah.

This is great news. It implies she will not be prosecuted for anything.

AIMEE DUFFY - MERCY

Aimee Anne Duffy who is also known as "DUFFY" was born on 1st June 1984. This 24 year old lass was born in Neynn, Gwynedd, Wales - UK.
Her first album was released on 4 years ago titled Aimee Duffy. While her second album titled Rockferry was released on the 3rd of March 2008. This new album will be released in Malaysia on 7th April, 2008.
I had the chance to listen to some sample of her songs and I must say her songs are very refreshing and representing her young and vibrant image. Her album consists a mixed of soul, rock and pop genres. Just can't wait to get hold of her new album Rockferry. She is now contracted to A&M - owned fully by Universal Music.

Duffy then released a followup single, "Mercy", which went straight to number one on download sales on 17 February 2008. Duffy is the first Welsh female to achieve a number one pop single in the past 25 years. And I was happy to see Farah Fauzana won two categories i.e. the best female TV presenter and the best female radio DJ. Too bad for Linda Onn who lost to Farah Fauzana this year.

It seems that both the male (Faizal) and female most popular radio DJ are from HOT FM, none of the Era's Js won any award this year. Is it the period of the downfall for ERA radio? It looks like it is becoming less popular compared to HOT FM.
Best female newcomer artist won by MILA AF , whilst the award for the best Male newcomer artist was grabbed by DAFI AF.
And for MAWI he again was crowned as the most popular make singer and the most popular Malaysian artist for the year 2007. Siti Nurhaliza only won the most popular Female artist for last year. I quite like the opening gambit by Siti Nurhaliza singing Ku Mahu. (walaupun sudah bertudung tetap kelas!)

Another good performance last night was brought by BOB, ATILIA and ANUAR ZAIN singing Anuar Zain'a medley songs Jangan Bersedih Lagi (BOB), Mungkin (Atilia) and Anuar Zain himself singing KETULUSAN HATI. You can watch the video below.

My choice for the best performance from last night's Akademi Fantasia concert was Stacy's presentation of RELA (original song by Tila). She had nailed the song and sang it wonderfully.
